This Privacy Policy explains how InstaViewer ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use tracifier.app (the "Service"). InstaViewer is a free, ad-supported tool for viewing publicly available Instagram profile information. We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide payment details.

In short: We don't have user accounts and never ask for your Instagram login. We only work with publicly available profile data. We use cookies for analytics and advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

The Instagram username or profile URL you enter to run a scan. We may cache the resulting public report briefly to reduce load and speed up repeat lookups.

Information collected automatically

Usage data — such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring pages, pages visited, and timestamps, collected through analytics and server logs.
Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 4.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email, or contact details (there are no accounts).
We do not ask for or store any Instagram credentials.
We do not collect or process payment information — the Service is free.

2. Public Instagram Data

When you run a scan, we retrieve publicly available information about the requested Instagram profile (such as public follower counts, public posts, reels, stories, and profile details) through a third-party data provider. We only access information that Instagram already makes public; we do not access private accounts or content.

InstaViewer is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. "Instagram" is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. If you are the owner of a profile and want a cached report removed, contact us (Section 11).

3. How We Use Information

To operate, provide, and maintain the Service.
To retrieve and display the public profile report you request.
To understand usage and improve performance and features (analytics).
To display advertising, which keeps the Service free.
To detect, prevent, and address abuse, security issues, and technical problems.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies for:

Essential — basic site functionality and preferences (e.g. your light/dark theme choice).
Analytics — to measure traffic and usage (Google Analytics).
Advertising — to serve and measure ads, and limit repetition (our ad network).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Service works.

5. Advertising

InstaViewer is free because it is supported by advertising delivered through Adsterra and its partners. These providers may use cookies and device identifiers to show and measure ads, including interest-based advertising. You can learn about and opt out of interest-based advertising via optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.

6. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service. Google may process this data as described in its policies. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

Service providers that help us run the Service — including hosting (Vercel), backend/database (Convex), analytics (Google), advertising (Adsterra), and the third-party public-data provider used to fetch profile information.
Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

8. Data Retention

We retain cached profile reports only for a short period to improve performance, after which they expire. Analytics and log data are retained for as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by our providers and applicable law.

9. Your Privacy Rights

GDPR (EEA/UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability and to withdraw consent. Our legal bases for processing are consent, legitimate interests, and legal obligations.

CCPA/CPRA (California)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. Some advertising cookies may be considered a "sale"/"share" under California law; you can opt out via your browser and the ad-industry links in Section 5.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
